Company mission
To run the bookings, so venues can run the experience.
Role
Who you are
- Stack: AWS (via Terraform), Clickhouse Node, Postgres, Svelte, Temporal, TypeScript
- We hope you're comfortable with a few of these, but more importantly, we value the desire to learn
- The role is a perfect fit for experienced product-minded engineers looking to join a small team that is hitting it’s stride
- You seek out opportunities to take ownership of big features
- You have strong engineering fundamentals, code concisely, and you are aware of your blindspots
- You value collaboration and learning as much as we do
- You want to work with a team of strong engineers, PMs, and founders
- You are in the NYC metro area (We have a great office in Chelsea with a rooftop!), or within EST/CST timezones
Desirable
- Experience working in a startup environment, with the ability to iterate quickly and adapt to changing requirements
- Being obsessive, we all have our pet projects (keyboards, home automation, card games), we’d love to hear about what catches your attention
What the job involves
- Tildei is building a dead simple AI/LLM management platform for brands to engage with their customers across any channel. We’re searching for engineers looking to make a big impact with a small team at a company hitting a nerve with their early customers and prospects
- As a member of our engineering team you will be directly involved in every aspect of our development lifecycle. From building new features and fixing impactful bugs, to helping design and plan the future of our platform
- We have a backlog full of interesting and impactful work to pick up. A couple examples of recent work include:
- Realtime analytics platform that gives visibility into customer's conversations, built on top of ClickHouse
- Workflow automation platform, built on top of Temporal
- Robust knowledge source platform for RAG and recommendations
- You’re joining a team that is currently experiencing an inflection point in our business
- You’ll be owning and building features in response to immediate customer feedback
- Not all the problems you’ll be working on have a clear solution, expect to weigh up the potential solutions, work with your teammates to identify potential pitfalls, and deliver real value to our customers
- You’ll be joining a small team, which gives you the opportunity to wear a lot of different hats
Our take
Event sales teams are often bogged down with inquiries and booking requests, eating time that could otherwise be used to run the experiences that the venues put on. The founder of Runhappy first recognized this when booking birthday parties for his children, but saw a culture of excessive admin and drawn-out application forms. Runhappy was born out of its conversational marketing predecessor Tildei to accelerate the event admin process for venues and their customers.
Runhappy’s software runs bookings and appointments, leveraging AI to respond to and manage inquiries, so that event teams can focus on providing a service. It’s no surprise that the company rebranded from its predecessor, utilizing Tildei’s conversational marketing platform to expand into an events management automation platform. It’s off to a great start too, having been listed on Built In’s Best Places to Work list in July 2026, and scaling its operations and leadership team.
