Content & Growth Executive, The Shamaazi Project

• 2-4 years’ experience in marketing, content creation, or brand communications, ideally within a digital-first business
• You might have a background in copywriting, creative writing, or multi-channel social content
• You understand how storytelling connects to metrics - and can translate qualitative resonance into quantitative outcomes

• Working knowledge of tools like Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Canva, Buffer/Later, and standard performance tracking methods
• Comfort analysing basic metrics and drawing insights (e.g. CTR, engagement rate, conversion, retention)
• Excellent written English and editing skills - able to adapt tone to audience and platform
• Understanding of how organic and paid strategies intersect across marketing funnels
• A creative storyteller with a strong grasp of digital marketing and an eye for what engages audiences
• Excited to work across multiple growth channels — content, paid digital, email, SEO, social, events

• We’re looking for a Content and Growth Executive to join our team - part creative storyteller, part digital strategist - to help us grow Shamaazi’s reach and reputation. You’ll play a key role in driving awareness, engagement, and conversion across our audiences through smart growth strategies and compelling content
• You’ll work across our marketing, partnerships, and product teams to craft stories that inspire, and to test data-driven ideas that convert. You’ll help shape our content calendar to deliver data-driven insights and build out content as a growth channel. One day you might be drafting social copy or a campaign storyboard; the next, you might be analysing post-performance or briefing new creative assets
• This is a hands-on role for someone who’s ambitious, curious, and comfortable blending creativity with structure
• What you’ll do
• Content & Storytelling
• Plan and execute a multi-channel B2B and B2C content calendar across socials, emails, landing pages, blogs
• Brief and collaborate with designers, video editors, and agencies to bring creative ideas to life
• Create engaging content, from social posts to longer-form articles, videos, and campaign assets, adapting content for Audience x Channel x Goal
• Optimise campaign performance through analytics, use data to refine messaging, targeting, and tactics for continuous improvement
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align on messaging, campaigns, and KPIs
• Growth & Performance
• Plan and execute growth experiments - A/B testing, landing-page iterations, referral loops, retention prompts, and new audience targeting
• Track and report performance data (CTR, CAC, engagement, conversion, retention) to inform decision-making
• Identify and act on content trends and platform changes early, bringing a test-and-learn mindset to every campaign
• Target and recapture users/businesses from the data found within existing funnels
• Support paid media pilots (Meta, Google, in-app) and help measure channel ROI
• Maintain dashboards and campaign summaries for senior leadership visibility
• Community, Partnerships & MarComms
• Manage communications to both B2C donors and B2B charity partners - newsletters, launch comms, campaign updates, lifecycle and broadcast emails, and press stories
• Work closely with the Product and Ops teams to align marketing with product feature releases and donor journeys
• Contribute to internal messaging frameworks and creative toolkits used across the business
• Ensure brand language is authentic, human, and aligned with our mission
