Role
Who you are
- Experience leading cloud migration projects from conception to build, ideally in an audit and investigation environment
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and containerisation, including specific GCP components such as Big Query, PubSub and Data Flow
- Significant experience in systems administration, particularly in the areas of vulnerability, configuration and access management
- Demonstrable experience embedding ITIL best practice into complex IT environments, especially change enablement, problem and incident management and release management
- A working understanding of Service Provider Authentication, specifically OAuth 2 and Single Sign On (SSO)
- Ideally, you will have a working understanding of low code applications, specifically Appian technologies, and work with platform engineers to develop new solutions in the areas of self-service, so audit stakeholders can discover the data that is most relevant to them, and to pursue our agenda to harness the power of Generative AI to provide operational efficiencies to business-critical processes such as audit reporting and citizens development
Desirable
- Previous experience in a risk and control environment, particularly in the areas of security and data, would be beneficial
- Scrum master experience, facilitating the exchange of information between developers and ensuring smooth delivery of items through the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Implementation and management of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines as deployed through the Software Development Lifecycle
What the job involves
- Working in the Chief Operating Office (COO) as Technology Manager means you will play a key role in the management and oversight of the Group Audit & Conduct Investigations (GA&CI) applications estate and IT change agenda, ensuring our alignment to Group Technology Strategy, Policy and standards as well as working with our partners across Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure Services and Security to provide strategic divisional direction in areas such as cloud computing and resilience by design, and the promotion of self-service infrastructure
- Collaborating with application owners and stewards, and other internal stakeholders such as Data Science and Analytics teams, you will have the opportunity to shape the GA&CI Technology Roadmap, and help set our technical direction, as we modernise and simplify our estate to land a new technology operating model by 2025
- This will include leading the design of API integrations between our core applications; enhancing our ability to share data with internal stakeholders and perform business critical activities, and ensure we fully exploit the capabilities of the cloud, both public and private, in the areas of data analytics and science
