- Payment Expertise: Strong understanding of payment processing, with experience at an issuing bank, processor, or programme manager
- Relationship Builder: Passionate about developing and nurturing relationships with partners, both new and existing
- C-Level Engagement: Ability to confidently present and engage with executives and key stakeholders
- Organized & Punctual: Exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to professionalism

- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of payment systems, including cross-scheme knowledge (MasterCard, Visa, Discover)

What the job involves
- Drive our commercial partnership strategy and enhance relationships with key business partners. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for developing new partnerships, managing existing ones, and identifying opportunities for revenue growth across domestic and international markets
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with existing partners, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Scouting for potential strategic partners that align with the company's goals, assessing their value and compatibility
- Developing comprehensive strategies for partnership growth, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market trends
- Staying informed about industry developments to identify new partnership opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly
- Leading negotiations with potential partners to establish mutually beneficial agreements
- Overseeing the preparation and execution of partnership contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Continuously monitoring partnership performance against predefined metrics and providing regular reports to stakeholders on progress and outcomes
- Identifying areas for enhancement within partnerships, proposing initiatives to maximize value and resolve any issues that arise
- Collaborating closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to integrate partnership strategies into broader business operations
- Acting as a liaison between partners and internal teams to ensure alignment on goals and expectations
- Providing regular updates to senior management on partnership performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and strategic recommendations
- Gathering insights from partners regarding their experiences to inform future partnership strategies
- Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the company’s interests and network with potential partners
- Developing training programs for internal teams on effective partnership management practices
- Regularly reviewing partnership management processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements

Embedded banking, or Banking-as-a-Service, has been a major driver of the fintech explosion. It allows challengers and smaller players to rapidly incorporate novel financial products and infrastructure without building from scratch - and major players to keep pace with increasing consumer demand for fintech services. Thredd (formerly Global Processing Services) focuses on paytech, with a tranche of services including major areas like payments, wallets, fraud prevention, and crypto management.
This diverse offering across high-growth fintech sectors has helped Thredd draw in hefty funding, and key clients across the key fintech markets of Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East, including Revolut, Curve, Cape, and Starling Bank.
This shows quite how far Thredd has managed to capture significant market penetration, which has given it the resources to continue building out key new products. With more non-fintech businesses looking to leverage the benefits of embedded banking, this could see Thredd expand into further markets such as insurance and loans. Certainly, Thredd has both the momentum and the valuation to take the plunge into other lucrative verticals.
