Role
Who you are
- BS/BA in Business or related field preferred but not required
- 3+ years of recruitment experience
- Experience recruiting across a variety of functions
- Proven track record of successfully creating and implementing effective recruiting strategies for high volume hiring
- Experience with proactive sourcing and diligent follow up to secure competitive talent
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and maintain a high level of confidentiality within the work environment
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills: both written and oral
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Tech savvy with proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, especially Google Suite, Excel and Microsoft Word software
- Experience with Lever (applicant tracking system), a plus
What the job involves
- The Talent Acquisition Partner will play a vital role in supporting Atom Computing’s people function
- They will oversee the full recruiting lifecycle including; sourcing strategy, interview process and candidate experience
- The Talent Acquisition Partner will ensure recruiting processes remain efficient and aligned with the company hiring goals and culture
- This role will partner closely with the VP of Human Resources, HR Business Partner, leadership and hiring managers
- Lead the recruitment process; coordinate and schedule phone screens and face-to-face interviews. Coordinate with managers to ensure applicants receive responses in a timely manner
- Ensure the organization hire high-quality talent quickly while maintaining a strong candidate experience
- Ensure hiring processes are structured, consistent and aligned with company standards
- Continuously improve recruiting operations to increase speed, quality and efficiency
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to ensure clarity on role requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring priorities
- Lead, coach, and develop hiring managers through the interview process, creating impactful job descriptions, candidate evaluation, in making strong timely hiring decisions, and maximize recruiting efficiency
- Ensure candidates have positive and professional experience throughout the recruiting process
- Ensure communication with candidates is clear, timely and respectful
- Partner with VP and HR Business Partner on other HR related tasks that may pop up from time to time
Our take
Quantum computers are largely defined by their qubit type and coherence times. Atom Computing creates spin qubits by using the neutral atom Strontium-87, which, in one of its nuclear spin states, can coherently remain in that state for a very long time, allowing computers to run deeper quantum circuits.
Qubits are fragile and susceptible to errors, but the company’s unique system yields a record-setting coherence time of 40 seconds which is monumentally faster than other systems, allowing more time for quantum error correction research to detect and correct errors without completely degrading purposeful computation.
The company raised $60 million of capital in its 2022 Series B round and a further $10 million extension in 2024. That same year, Atom Computing announced a partnership with Microsoft, which will see the two companies collaborate on a range of commercially viable quantum computers, containing 1000 qubits each. It appears, then, that Atom Computing is well positioned to provide the leading quantum computing power behind life-changing breakthroughs.
