What the job involves
- Nuro is seeking a world-class Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company’s financial strategy and capital agenda
- This executive will serve as a key architect of Nuro’s growth — raising capital, structuring strategic transactions, and deploying resources to maximize long-term enterprise value
- As a member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will work closely with the Co-CEOs, COO, and Board of Directors to shape company strategy, drive financial discipline, and position Nuro for future public-market readiness
- Lead capital strategy, including fundraising across private and debt markets, Strategic investments, and M&A
- Build and manage investor relationships to strengthen Nuro’s access to capital And long-term partnerships
- Drive financial planning, forecasting, and performance management to ensure Disciplined growth and clear resource allocation
- Oversee corporate finance, accounting, treasury, and risk management, Ensuring compliance and operational rigor
- Partner with the executive team to evaluate and execute strategic deals, Partnerships, and transactions
- Shape and communicate Nuro’s financial narrative and KPIs to investors, the Board, and employees
- Develop and scale a high-performing Finance organization that integrates Financial and business strategy across the company

Nuro offers custom-built autonomous vehicles for the delivery of physical goods, rather than people. Its vehicles have a distinctive, futuristic, design that has not only made the vehicles noticeable from a marketing point of view, but, has also made its vehicles stand out to other road users, improving safety.
Nuro is an exciting addition to the autonomous vehicle landscape. Without a passenger inside the vehicle, it has been able to sidestep some of the safety issues that have plagued other autonomous vehicle brands. Additionally, the company has landed several high-profile partners, including Uber, Walmart, Chipotle, and Kroger.
With home deliveries at an all-time high, many companies are looking for ways to get goods to customers’ homes as fast as possible. Low-cost, efficient services such as Nuro's offering are becoming increasingly attractive. Following Series E funding, the company is focusing on growing new commercial partnerships and scaling its technology.
