Director of Production and Supply Chain, Red 6

• 5+ years of experience in engineering and production environments (military product experience is a strong plus)
• 3+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional development and production teams
• Demonstrated ability to scale production from concept to 1,000+ units
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience managing key suppliers for custom components
• Qualified candidates must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. This requires U.S. Citizenship

Desirable

• As the Director of Production and Supply Chain, you will play a mission-critical role in shaping the scalability and reliability of Red 6’s hardware solutions
• You will be responsible for managing the Bill of Materials (BOM), optimizing supplier relationships, and leading end-to-end production operations for military-grade electronics and headset systems
• This role spans low- to high-volume production—from prototypes to 1,000+ unit shipsets—and demands a hands-on, startup-savvy leader who thrives in a high-growth, lean environment
• You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and be evaluated based on on-time delivery and return metrics
• End-to-end production management, from planning through execution
• Ownership of supplier relationships and sourcing of critical components (e.g., PCBs, machined parts)
• Overseeing field support, repairs, and returns
• Leading scale-up planning, including budget, layout, and cost forecasting
• Supporting design-for-manufacturing (DFM) efforts in collaboration with development teams
• Navigating both tactical (e.g., assembling furniture) and strategic (e.g., facility planning) challenges typical of startup life
• Your leadership will be essential in ensuring that producibility and reliability are considered from early design through delivery, recognizing that manufacturability only matters if the product meets customer expectations
