Role
Who you are
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a dedicated People Business Partner capacity. (Experience supporting Operations/Customer Service function is a plus!)
- Collaborative, team-oriented, approachable, and personable; able to build and maintain trusted relationships with employees at all levels

What the job involves
- We are looking for a skilled, dynamic, and dependable Associate People Business Partner, Operations to join the People Strategy & Development team
- Reporting to a Senior Manager, People Business Partner, you’ll step into a fast-paced, high-growth environment where your ability to execute is just as important as your ability to connect
- You’ll be a vital partner, consultant, and advocate for front-line leaders and their team members, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations matters and performance management
- You’ll also support the delivery of our talent programs and processes, strategic people initiatives, and the daily operational needs of your client group
- Serve as a trusted advisor to front-line and mid-level leadership on matters such as performance management, employee relations, policy interpretation, and employee engagement
- Partner with managers to improve engagement, retention, and morale through the execution of custom people initiatives, solutions, and interventions
- Manage and resolve low-to-moderate complexity employee relations/performance matters. Conduct initial fact-finding for investigations and escalate high-risk cases
- Facilitate core people processes and programs for your client group, including annual compensation reviews, performance cycles, goal setting, and departures
- Monitor people metrics and stay interview themes to identify trends and identify proactive solutions before challenges arise
- Ensure practices are conducted in a way that is equitable and consistent
- Participate in cross-functional HR projects and initiatives, as required

Our take
ezCater is an online marketplace app that provides catering options for businesses, working with food providers who enter their menus onto the app for customers to browse. ezCater sends each store its orders and handles customer service while the food providers fulfil the orders.
ezCater profits by charging a small commission on all orders that restaurants fulfil. The company counts JLL, RingCentral and the San Francisco 49ers among its customers. It previously fuelled expansion through acquisitions such as online catering platform GoCater in 2018 and MonkeySoft Solutions in 2019.
ezCater has enjoyed strong growth so far, in part by focusing on meal deliveries to a growing hybrid workforce as an employee benefit. It has been eyeing an IPO for some time, though these plans are yet to come to fruition. In the meantime, it has continued to develop its technology and unveiled a new supplier diversity program to uplift small businesses owned by underrepresented groups.
