- 5+ years of experience across IT domains such as computer and network administration, Google Workspace, identity and access management, service management, and business systems

- We’re looking for someone to lead IT operations at Valon’s San Francisco office and support remote employees
- You’ll be the on-site expert keeping everything running smoothly - from hardware and network setup to system access and day-to-day support
- You’ll also provide hands-on support to our executive team and help remote employees stay connected and productive
- You’ll test and roll out new technologies, streamline our operations, and be a key player in how Valon powers its fast-paced, tech-driven workplace
- Be on-site in our SFO office Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with flexibility for occasional after-hours maintenance
- Serve as the go-to IT contact for the SFO office and remote employees - owning issues end-to-end, providing top-notch support, and keeping everything running smoothly
- Manage onboarding and offboarding, including device setup (Mac & Windows), provisioning software access, and laptop shipments as needed
- Set up and maintain office infrastructure such as networks, video conferencing systems, printers, cameras, and conference rooms
- Track and restock hardware inventory as needed
- Respond quickly to helpdesk requests and ensure tickets are resolved promptly
- Document processes and identify opportunities to automate and improve IT workflows
- Lead or support projects that enhance the security, scalability, and efficiency of Valon’s IT systems
Our take
The mortgage servicing market is huge but surprisingly outdated. In the US alone, it covers roughly $13T in mortgages, yet many servicers still use legacy systems and manual processes to manage payments, compliance and customer support. Because mortgage servicing involves complex regulations and many exceptions, these older systems can be inefficient and costly to run, creating a strong opportunity for modern technology to improve how the industry operates.
Valon is trying to modernize this space with ValonOS, an AI-native operating system built specifically for mortgage servicing. The platform doesn't just store loan data, it also captures the rules and workflows behind servicing decisions. This allows companies to automate routine processes, improve visibility into operations, and manage compliance more easily. To prove the system works, Valon has also built and run its own large mortgage servicing business on the platform.
The company has gained strong backing from major industry players too. Investor Rithm Capital Corp. plans to roll out Valon's technology to over 4M homeowners through Newrez, one of the largest US mortgage servicers. If this rollout succeed, it could demonstrate that modern, AI-driven systems can operate at industry scale and potentially reshape mortgage servicing.
