Who you are
- Experience with iterating on models in production based on performance metrics and user feedback is highly valued
- If you're excited about pushing the limits of what’s possible with data and ML at internet scale, this opportunity is for you
- 5+ years of experience building scalable backend systems, with at least 3 years focused on machine learning model development and deployment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field; Ph.D. a plus
- You have hands-on experience taking models from research or prototype to production, iterating based on performance and business impact
- You bring hands-on coding experience and the ability to translate research and experimentation into reliable, production-level machine learning systems
- Deep understanding of ML fundamentals including algorithms, deep learning, neural networks, and evaluation methods
- Strong experience in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and pipeline development
- Comfortable working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and in a language-agnostic development environment
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Experience mentoring team members and supporting technical hiring efforts

- Madhive is hiring a seasoned Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, and scale cutting-edge ML models that power our high-performance platform
- You’ll work at the forefront of data-driven innovation, helping process millions of requests per second and extracting actionable insights from massive datasets
- We are looking for an engineer with proven experience owning the full machine learning lifecycle, from early-stage problem definition and data exploration, through model design, training, and evaluation, to deployment in production and ongoing monitoring
- Lead the development and optimization of ML models across key platform components including bidding systems, search, and user personalization
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to collect, preprocess, and validate large-scale datasets
- Engineer robust features from raw data to improve model accuracy and performance
- Define and implement rigorous evaluation metrics to measure model effectiveness and guide iterative improvement
- Work with DevOps and software engineering teams to deploy models into production, ensuring reliability and scalability
- Stay current with ML and AI research to identify and apply novel techniques where applicable
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hiring and talent development within the ML team
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating business goals into technical strategies
- Document models, processes, and methodologies to support long-term scalability and team collaboration
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support critical production systems
