Who you are
- This role is for someone passionate about iOS development and eager to drive impact through technical leadership and mentorship
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, with 5+ years specializing in iOS
- Deep expertise in Swift and Objective-C, with a strong understanding of UIKit, Core Data, and networking
- Proven track record of designing and shipping scalable, high-impact iOS features in a consumer-facing app
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services
- Skilled at mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar through leadership and collaboration
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments with cross-functional teams
Desirable
- Experience working in e-commerce or subscription-based platforms
- Exposure to front-end development or cross-functional pods in an agile environment
- Strong interest in advancing Thrive Market’s mission to make healthy living accessible to everyone
What the job involves
- As a Lead iOS Engineer, you’ll drive the technical direction of our iOS app, delivering best-in-class experiences to our members while mentoring and inspiring the team
- You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to design scalable and innovative features, own projects end to end, and elevate our iOS engineering standards
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex features for the Thrive Market iOS app
- Drive technical strategy and roadmap in alignment with product and business goals
- Mentor and guide iOS engineers, sharing best practices and fostering technical growth
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Platform Engineering teams to create seamless, scalable solutions
- Push the limits of iOS hardware and software to build innovative and delightful user experiences
- Implement robust, test-driven development practices to ensure high-quality code and performance
- Evangelize coding standards, architecture patterns, and operational excellence

Organic and non-GMO foods have been at the forefront of millions of consumers' minds and while the will is there, the way has often been blocked by inflated prices. Thrive Market wants to become the world's first climate positive grocery sore.
Thrive is disrupting that chain with a subscription based online grocery store that has a curated range of organic and non-GMO groceries, beauty and cleaning supplies. Members pay a fee and are rewarded with an extra 25-50% off regular retail prices, paying wholesale instead. Banking on the mainstream adoption of organic foods and with the long term effects of GMOs under heavy scrutiny, Thrive Market is enabling people to make healthy lifestyle choices without breaking the bank at traditionally more expensive shops like Whole Foods.
As well as considering an IPO, Thrive Market has also recently partnered with rePurpose Global to fight plastic pollution as well as with Beyond Meat, a particularly smart move because the vegan and meat reduction market shows no signs of slowing; as more people want to put their dollars towards products that are cleaner, safer and support the health of the planet.
