Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing consultative pre-sales role, with a proven track record in managing and delivering complex technical solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while navigating technical challenges
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical requirements, update documentation, and gather feedback from a variety of stakeholders
- An understanding of and experience with APIs/SDKs, and the ability to to communicate and demonstrate the implementation of API products
Desirable
- Prior experience within fintech and/or payment solutions
- Experience working in high-growth, venture-backed startup(s)
- Experience working in Data Analytics or data visualization platforms
What the job involves
- This role is responsible for linking our cutting-edge payment solutions to customer needs, demonstrating the unique value of our products, and implementing tailored solutions that exceed customer expectations
- As a Pagos Solutions Engineer, you’ll engage directly with clients, ensuring their requirements are met with precision and innovation
- You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including Commercial, Product, and Engineering—to leverage collective expertise in enhancing product offerings and operational excellence
- Play a key role in the full lifecycle of customer acquisition, from presales to implementation
- Conduct compelling value-focused demonstrations of all Pagos products, thereby fostering customer engagement and understanding to drive adoption
- Act as a subject matter expert on Pagos products and serve as a payments solution thought partner alongside cross-functional teams
- Manage a pre-sales delivery process, including documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Use customer feedback and data-backed insights to act as the voice of the customer in roadmap and prioritization planning
- Partner with Account Management to support expansion of product adoption with existing customers
Our take
Pagos provides commerce businesses with an SaaS platform which integrates with any payment stack, then provides key insights on things like payment data and trends, with a view to helping businesses create optimized payment strategies.
It’s an interesting idea, and one that there may well be room for. Even in light of the huge growth in customers moving towards digital payments, it’s difficult for companies to harness data on the payment environment to their advantage.
The company announced an oversubscribed Series A funding round in early 2023, led by Arbor Ventures. Pagos is looking to expand its engineering team and further optimize its product suite, which currently consists of Parrot, Peacock, Canary, Toucan, and Loon.
