Zwift was created to break two preconceptions surrounding indoor training: that it's boring and that the required equipment is prohibitively expensive.
Zwift provides a virtual world that gamifies indoor training and connects cyclists and runners in an online multiplayer community. Users can access thousands of structured workouts, races, and group rides through a monthly subscription ad compatible indoor trainer or smart bike.
The company continues to expand its virtual worlds, training tools, and hardware ecosystem while maintaining one of the largest online cycling communities.
Zwift's biggest competition includes platforms like Peloton and newer virtual cycling services such as MyWhoosh and Rouvy. However, while Peloton emphasized instructor-led classes, Zwift focuses on simulation, competition, and social group riding within a virtual cycling world.
