Senior Software Platform Engineer, TCGplayer

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or a combination of education and experience
• 7+ years of large-scale microservice application development (we’re using .NET Core, Docker, and Kubernetes in AWS), including experience with decomposing monolithic applications
• Expert knowledge of multiple datastore technologies including both RDBMS (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills with teammates and stakeholders
• A ship-often mindset and ability to break down requirements into components that can be released rapidly

Desirable

• Seeing a project through from beginning to end
• Design and develop features of our eCommerce website working with some of the best engineers in development today
• Work on complex interfaces controlling inventory items, catalog information, APIs for internal and 3rd party consumption, background system jobs, stream-based processing and caching
• Help design best-in-class solutions for our sellers, and create platforms for monitoring, managing and easing throughput of our services to ensure service response times are fast, services are scalable, and data integrity is maintained across all platforms
• Interface with technical teams, take lead on some projects, and mentor junior engineers
