Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on business intelligence and data visualization
- Proficiency with Apache Superset or similar BI tools
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance
- Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector is highly preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of successfully navigating ambiguous situations
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to business stakeholders effectively
- Experience working in a startup environment or a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- A self-starter with a proactive approach to learning and professional development
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Data Analyst with 3-5 years of experience who is proficient in business intelligence and data visualization, particularly with Apache Superset or similar tools
- Data Analysis & Visualization:
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Apache Superset
- Analyze complex datasets to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes
- SQL Expertise:
- Write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing thorough data validation and cleaning
- Business Intelligence:
- Design and implement business intelligence solutions that align with organizational goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and translate them into effective reporting solutions
- Healthcare/Pharma Domain Knowledge:
- Apply your understanding of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries to provide relevant insights and recommendations
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and relevance
- Problem Solving & Technical Communication:
- Address and resolve data-related issues and challenges with innovative solutions
- Clearly communicate technical concepts and data insights to non-technical stakeholders to drive business outcomes

Our take
Synapticure is a Chicago-based tele-neurology company providing personalized care for patients and families affected by ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscles.
Through the company's tele-neurology platform, Synapticure's team of neurologists and healthcare professionals are able to remotely diagnose, monitor, and treat ALS patients, providing them with tailored healthcare plans and ongoing support. The company's approach aims to improve the quality of life for ALS patients and their families, by reducing the burden of in-person visits along with providing increased access to care.
With funding raised from several investment organizations, Synapticure is well-equipped to provide specialized care and support to ALS patients and their families, with the potential to make a significant impact on the management of ALS. Synapticure plans to utilize the capital it has gained to further scale its care platform to provide its services to people living with ALS across the United States.
