Who you are

  • The ideal internship candidate will have a proven track record in exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong interest in sales, lead generation, or business development
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player in a dynamic environment
  • A proactive approach to learning, problem-solving, and engaging with potential clients

Desirable

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms
  • Interest in digital marketing, social media, or local search optimization

What the job involves

  • SOCi, the CoMarketing Cloud for Multi-Location Enterprises, is currently looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Intern to contribute to and be responsible for driving the growth of SOCi’s customer base by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities
  • This internship offers hands-on experience in sales development within a fast-paced tech environment
  • You'll gain exposure to real-world sales strategies, client relationship-building, and more
  • Assist in identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities through both outbound prospecting and following up on inbound leads
  • Engage with potential clients via phone calls, emails, social media, and virtual meetings
  • Conduct research on target accounts to help develop tailored outreach strategies
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of meetings and demos between prospective clients and the sales team
  • Keep accurate records of prospect interactions and pipeline activity within the CRM system
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to enhance messaging and optimize lead generation tactics
  • Contribute to meeting internship performance goals for lead qualification and meeting scheduling
  • Stay informed about industry trends, the competitive landscape, and SOCi’s product offerings
  • Provide valuable feedback to marketing and product teams about lead quality and market insights to improve strategies
