Who you are
- This is an ideal role for generalists who want to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and manage our operations to improve the patient experience and the overall customer experience

- You have 3+ years of experience in strategy, operations, product, growth or other related areas
- You have analytics experience in building financial models and defining performance tracking to measure the success of your initiatives
- You have bias for action and a track record of leading initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a cross-functional team environment
- You excel as a generalist who can build the overarching strategy and go deep into specific issues and processes to drive continuous improvement
- You bring structure, organisation, and focus to your work and work with cross-functional teams, including product, tech, marketing, finance, and legal
- You are very ambitious and want to have a fast-track career to grow professionally
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Strategy & Ops Manager to support the strategy and execution of our main propositions
- In this role, you will take on end-to-end ownership and accountability for driving impactful projects working across one or more categories
- Solve problems: Collaborate with diverse teams across MANUAL to identify and address operational challenges, with a focus on building, launching, and scaling efficient processes
- Build and innovate: Develop and experiment with new approaches to enhance the category proposition, utilising data-driven insights to continuously refine and optimise your solutions
- Take end-to-end project ownership: Take charge of projects from inception to execution, including strategic planning, implementation, and thorough performance reporting
- Drive operational excellence: Lead efforts to instil operational best practices within patient-facing teams, driving efficiencies and elevating service delivery standards
- Learn and iterate: Assess both operational and financial implications of initiatives, leveraging insights to iterate and improve strategies over time

MANUAL is a digital healthcare clinic supporting patients with life-changing conditions such as hormonal imbalance, obesity, menopause and hair loss across the UK and Brazil. It does this with a blend of doctor-specialist services, prescription medication backed by science, and digital products informed by behavioural change.
Manual works to remove the stigma around health problems such as obesity, hormone imbalances and menopause through teleconsultations, testing, regular check-ins and a range of tools, supplements and medications to treat commmon issues like poor sleep, hair loss, erectile dysfunction and skin conditions. Originally focused solely on men's health, the service led a shift in attitudes among its customers, with about half the men using the service to treat more than one condition, indicating that they're not just seeking help for the worst health issue that they're experiencing. Since, then it has opened its services to all genders with a hope to sift attitudes on a wider variety of health issues.
Manual has raised an impressive amount of capital, most recently in 2024. This funding is being used to expand its reach and enhance its services, particularly focussing on treatments for hormonal imbalance, obesity, and hair loss.
