Who you are
- 10+ years of experience as an engineering leader, deep expertise in running cloud platforms at scale, strong sense for systems architecture
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively cross functionally with a strong sense of ownership
- Experience managing teams of engineers and being responsible for multiple projects concurrently
- Very strong domain knowledge in cloud infrastructure, observability
- Experience in interfacing with vendors, partners and cost governance
- Experience and strong understanding of Data and ML infrastructure
- Experience driving processes and programs to raise the bar and engineering excellence
What the job involves
- We are looking for a seasoned engineering leader who will lead the Core Infrastructure and Operations Engineering. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a multi-functional team across SRE, Operations, Data & AI Platform, and Database Engineering
- You will own our cloud platform, run infrastructure as a product, and drive enterprise-grade reliability for mission‑critical systems. As an engineering leader you’ll be be called on to lead during critical moments and operate with executives of the company
- Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team responsible for core platform systems used across the company
- Define and drive multi-quarter platform initiatives that improve developer velocity, system reliability, and product leverage
- Partner closely with product and engineering leaders to evolve the platform as a product, balancing long-term architecture with near-term business needs
- Take ambiguous, high-impact problem areas (e.g., system scalability, reliability, platform abstractions) and turn them into clear execution plans
- Drive alignment across multiple teams working on complex, interdependent systems including internal platforms, infrastructure as well as cloud governance
- Raise the bar on engineering quality, operational excellence, and execution across the platform organization

Trucking is a huge but fragmented industry that was largely ignored by Silicon Valley until companies such as Motive (formerly KeepTruckin) came along. The integrated fleet management platform acts as air traffic control for trucks, bringing drivers online and into the 21st century.
The company offers both hardware and software solutions to freight companies, allowing them to manage their fleet and keep their drivers safe. One of these solutions is an AI-powered dashcam that detects unsafe driving behavior in real time and instantly alerts the driver.
The platform, which is used by over 120,000 companies, from small businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises, received $150 million in VC in 2025. This is being invested in expanding the capabilities of its platform through AI, with a suite of AI-powered fleet tools launching in 2026.
