Role
Who you are
- Experience as a seasoned and strategic leader of leaders and have 4+ years of management experience where you have managed other individuals who are collectively responsible for scaling a highly effective pre-sales (solutions architecture) organization
- Proven expertise in leading and scaling a solutions architecture or sales engineering organization within a high-growth, fast-paced technology company, ideally blending startup agility with enterprise best practices
- Deep technical proficiency in generative AI, large language models (LLMs), machine learning, and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), coupled with hands-on experience in Python or similar scripting languages
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex implementations of AI/ML solutions, understanding data pipelines, model deployment, security, and compliance in diverse, large-scale enterprise environments
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of translating intricate technical concepts into clear business value for executive and technical audiences, while also mentoring your team to do the same
- A strategic mindset, constantly looking for opportunities to innovate, optimize processes, and drive measurable impact across customer engagements and internal team operations

What the job involves
- The solutions architect manager plays a pivotal role in this journey, leading a team of exceptional solutions architects who empower our enterprise customers to unlock the full potential of our cutting-edge generative AI platform
- You’ll be at the forefront of driving AI transformation, moving beyond theoretical discussions to hands-on deployment and measurable impact
- This is your chance to lead, mentor, and inspire a team dedicated to solving complex business challenges with innovative AI solutions, directly influencing customer success and WRITER's rapid growth
- You will report directly to the VP of solutions architecture
- Lead and empower a team of highly skilled solutions architects, fostering their technical growth and career development across complex enterprise AI engagements
- Drive the successful adoption and deployment of WRITER's generative AI platform by overseeing key pre-sales technical engagements, including use case discovery, proof-of-concept execution, and value realization for strategic customers
- Partner closely with sales leadership and go-to-market teams to develop strategic account plans, define compelling technical value propositions, and accelerate pipeline growth for WRITER's solutions
- Act as an executive technical sponsor for WRITER’s most strategic accounts, building strong relationships with C-level stakeholders and becoming their trusted advisor in AI strategy and implementation
- Influence WRITER's product roadmap by gathering critical market insights and customer feedback, ensuring our platform continuously addresses evolving enterprise AI needs
- Architect robust, scalable, and secure AI solutions for diverse enterprise environments, integrating WRITER's platform with complex customer data ecosystems and existing technical stacks
- Transform how we facilitate customer evaluations and proofs of concept, implementing best practices and scalable processes that demonstrate clear ROI and accelerate time-to-value for our clients

AI-assisted writing tools have taken off over recent years. With the likes of high-exposure company Grammarly accelerating adoption of such tools, a flurry of startups have appeared to offer their own takes. Writer’s angle is to leverage AI as a means of standardizing and scaling both content and communications for business teams. The tool offers autofilling and inline suggestions that keep content aligned with pre-determined company language and style guides.
This branded fine-tuning function distinguishes it from full copy-generation competitors, as well as from Grammarly itself, which is a more generalist copyediting tool. It subsequently caters to major enterprise clients looking to maintain standards across multiple and sprawling teams, and the company has managed to net major clients like Deloitte, Twitter, UiPath, and Accenture.
While AI-related buzz remains solidly around generative AIs like ChatGPT and Bard, Writer's narrow target market - in which it has already found success - supplies plenty of scope to grow, as AI copyediting tools look set to rapidly become content industry standard. With continued new launches and updates to its offerings, as well as an impressive $200 million Series C awarded in 2024, the company is well-placed for further success.
