Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of professional software development experience with component based web frameworks (React, Next.js, Svelte, Angular, Flutter, and/or Vue)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong track record of building and shipping production-ready web applications
- Experience shipping iOS mobile applications with React Native and/or Swift
- Extensive experience with Typescript, version control, and building for web accessibility
- Experienced building engaging UI animations with tools like Framer, Lottie and GSAP
- Highly collaborative mindset with a focus on enabling team success
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and work across different parts of the stack
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Passionate about shipping
Desirable
- Startup experience
- Experience with Postgres and/or distributed systems
- Experience multiple cross-platform native mobile application development
- Experience working with gRPCs and protocol buffers
What the job involves
- We're seeking a Frontend Engineer to elevate our frontend development efforts
- In this role, you'll be a driving force behind our user interface, focusing on delivering a stellar customer experience and shipping new features
- You’ll help build a new interaction paradigm for the future of how people discover and buy products they love
- Build useful, fast, and delightful frontend interfaces
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver core Daydream features to users
- Identify and fix performance issues
- Improve frontend infrastructure, contribute to our component library, and identify other ways of helping the frontend team deliver
- Engage in build, test, and iterate loops on features with the goal of continuously improving Daydream for users
Our take
Daydream leverages generative AI, machine learning and computer vision to enhance the end-to-end shopping journey. Launching in beta this fall, it will feature an extensive fashion catalogue that offers a superhuman search engine to help users effortlessly discover fashion.
Aiming to address the inefficiencies of traditional online shopping, the platform provides an intuitive experience that caters to individuals' preferences. Unlike existing platforms, Daydream is built from scratch to maximize the benefits of AI, ensuring users can find the products they love quickly and easily.
Recent funding will allow Daydream to refine its AI capabilities and grow its brand partnerships. With a team of seasoned industry professionals, the platform is poised to redefine online shopping, offering a cutting-edge solution that meets the evolving needs of modern customers.
