Role
Who you are
- You’re a web wizard, able to build engaging and elegant frontends that put users at the core and can thrive in a small, start-up team
- Senior experience with React or other SPA frameworks
- Experience with backend development in Node.js and SSR (knowledge of Next.js is a plus)
- Proven track record in building web applications in agile environments and in implementing automated testing best practices in a fast-paced environment
- Computer Science background (or similar education background), or equivalent professional experience
- Be up to date on current React development and show a keen interest in the software for future developments
- Entrepreneurial / Startup Experience and strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (code review, version control, tooling, testing, etc.)
- Appreciation for great user experience as much as for awesome tech architecture
- Great at communicating with people, motivating everyone and getting the whole team on the same page. Fluency in English is essential

What the job involves
- Build intuitive, responsive and user-centric frontend applications using the latest advancements in React
- Implement new features in a highly collaborative environment with product managers, UI/UX experts, and fellow engineers
- Be part of a highly motivated cross functional engineering team
- Engage in every stage of the product life cycle: from inception, to proof of concept, to full build and test, launching in market, and operating at scale
- Enhance the product and empower the team to scale efficiently by instilling robust software engineering best practices, including Agile methodologies, test-driven development, comprehensive unit testing, in-depth code reviews, and detailed design documentation

Karla is headed up by a former BCG partner, and one of Scorable's founding team. This is part of the reason that the startup has gained impressive momentum among customers and backers alike. Its app taps into the growing demand among consumers for increased communication and efficiency throughout the delivery process.
The company faces competition from the likes of Parcello and Parcellab. But Karla differentiates itself by connecting its software directly to online shops and leveraging existing delivery operators and couriers. This will be important if the company wants to draw customers away from its more established rivals.
