Recruitment technology is a highly fragmented sector, with hundreds of competing platforms vying for market share across sourcing, job posting and applicant tracking. For internal teams at fast-growth companies, this typically results in significant levels of admin and inefficiencies.
SmartRecruiters is a next-generation application tracking system (or ATS) that helps talent functions to operate end-to-end hiring processes. Focusing on enterprise businesses that are typically hiring for hundreds of roles at any given time, the platform is capable of handling 100% of the recruitment process, from sourcing to hiring. It also integrates with hundreds of vendors to provide additional services, from digital contracts to coding tests and talent pools.
It's a crowded space, with strong incumbents like Workday, Greenhouse, Lever and Workable all offering competing platforms. But with hiring a key priority for fast-growth businesses, there's a significant opportunity to become a leader. SmartRecruiters has notably picked up investment from Salesforce, potentially foreshadowing a tie-up with the world's biggest CRM firm, whilst an integration of AI agent Winston in 2024 indicates its pioneering position in the space.
