Role
Who you are
- 5+ years experience in product marketing / technical marketing roles within the CAE software industry
- Degree in physics, engineering, computer science or adjacent areas preferred
- Professionally experienced in writing customer success user stories, newsletters, handbooks, guides, application notes, and white papers
- Experienced in presenting and hosting online events and meetings
- Developed high-impact storytelling suitable across channels including digital media
- Strong communication abilities and ability to represent the company externally and internally, in front of senior management
- High engagement with customers to grow SimScale impact through an authentic and compelling narrative centred on proving out material business benefits
- Experience or familiarity with HPC and cloud technologies is a plus
What the job involves
- We are currently looking for a committed Product Marketing Manager (m/f/d) to contribute to SimScale's global marketing engine in the next phase of our growth
- In this role, you will leverage your proven experience in engaging engineering and design leadership with highly impactful positioning and messaging strategies to challenge their status quo and trigger interest in cloud-native simulation technologies and related engineering design practices to create better products, faster
- Your responsibilities include: conducting market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- Crafting compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates SimScale, creating buyer personas and use cases to inform marketing and sales tactics
- You will get to develop and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature updates, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product strategy and execution
- You produce and manage a variety of content, such as whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, webinars, and presentations, to support marketing campaigns and sales efforts
- You'll equip the sales team with necessary tools and training, developing sales collateral including brochures, datasheets, and product demos
- And last but not least, you will build and nurture relationships with key customers and industry influencers, organising and participating in customer events to foster advocacy and gather feedback
Our take
Simulation and computer-aided engineering (CAE) software exists to help engineers in analysis tasks, by imitating real-life scenarios from mathematical formulae to enable optimisations and adjustments to be found prior to manufacture. However, though utility is high, CAE solutions can be difficult to implement, hard to scale, and require large investment in hardware and maintenance. SimScale provides a cloud-based simulation tool for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to enable engineers to easily implement simulation CAE across R&D cycles.
SimScale, founded in 2012, began life as a consultancy, before bringing cloud computing to simulation. Its platform enables organisations of any size to make use of engineering simulations, by removing the large hardware costs that would normally make them economically inaccessible; and providing accurate end-to-end simulations that can be generated without experience in the technology. The company initially provided CFD services, used to solve structural problems, before expanding to include FEA, for fluid-flow problems, by a partnership with the firm Simerics.
SimScale has hundreds of thousands of users and is progressing towards its goal of making engineering simulation a standard tool in the industry. Funds raised by the company will help it expand into new industries by adding more simulation capabilities.
