What the job involves

  • We are seeking a high-energy, outbound-driven Account Development Representative (ADR) to deliver qualified meetings that convert into pipeline and revenue, acquire new customers, and expand existing accounts across AMER and LATAM
  • This role is responsible for engaging key decision-makers, securing high-quality sales meetings, and identifying new business opportunities
  • The ideal candidate is a proactive, goal-oriented sales professional who excels at building relationships, understanding customer needs, and driving business growth
  • You will collaborate with Sales and Marketing to execute targeted engagement strategies, uncover pain points, and create opportunities that lead to revenue impact
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers to create new business opportunities
  • Own top-of-funnel pipeline growth by securing high-quality meetings that drive new customer acquisition and account expansion
  • Qualify and transition leads effectively to ensure pipeline conversion and revenue impact
  • Target net new accounts while also identifying growth opportunities within existing customers
  • Build and nurture relationships with executives, technical leaders, and business stakeholders
  • Support account expansion efforts to maximize Couchbase adoption
  • Maintain accurate lead and activity tracking in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine messaging and improve prospect engagement
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve conversion rates
  • Leverage Sales Tools Effectively

Our take

Critical functions for digital businesses such as computing and storage have become cheaper by orders of magnitude with the advent of cloud computing. However, these businesses still face the challenge of architecting their services under this paradigm. Couchbase’s NoSQL database makes taking advantage of these features possible.

The cloud vendor's major bets on Kubernetes, mobile, and of course, NoSQL have paid off. Many of the world’s largest companies have come to consider this software as mission-critical and Couchbase has benefitted from this as exemplified by its IPO in 2021.

The biggest challenge for Couchbase is that it is playing in a large but competitive market, with the likes of DataStax and the publically traded MongoDB, and all the major cloud vendors vying for similar customers in the NoSQL space. However, Couchbase continues to grow post-IPO and serves influential clients including Mariott International, Amadeus, and LinkedIn.
