Who you are

3+ years of study in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field by the start of the internship
Strong interest in content creation and digital storytelling
Experience with photography and/or videography (academic, personal, or professional)
Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
Basic knowledge of content editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar)
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Basic video editing skills
Understanding of social media trends and analytics
Creative eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling

What the job involves

Fortera is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Content Creator Intern to join our Marketing & Creative team. This internship is ideal for a student who is passionate about storytelling, visual media, and digital engagement
The intern will support content creation efforts across multiple platforms, helping bring Fortera’s brand, technology, and culture to life through compelling visuals and social media content
Capture and produce high-quality photo and video content featuring team members, projects, events, and company initiatives
Assist with short-form and long-form content creation for social media and digital platforms
Support social media management, including drafting posts, scheduling content, and monitoring engagement
Collaborate with the Marketing & Creative team on content campaigns and brand initiatives
Help maintain organized digital asset libraries (photos, videos, graphics)
Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh content ideas
Ensure all content aligns with Fortera’s brand voice and visual identity

Our take

To support the decarbonization of the construction industry, Fortera delivers a process that produces low to zero CO2 cement. This cement is suitable for a range of applications such as flooring, concrete and precast elements, meaning it could substitute traditional alternatives across the sector.

Put simply, Fortera's approach works by taking the CO2 formed in the heating step and recycling it into the product at a later stage. This means the CO2 normally released is instead captured, which is why it is a zero-carbon process.

It's certainly an intriguing concept, and inventors agree - with Fortera securing substantial funds across a number of rounds. It will use the latest investment to deploy its technology and manufacture the product at the market scale. Currently, its ReCarb plants are predicted to mineralize 165,000 tons of industrial CO2 annually.
