Who you are

Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of Python development good practices
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins or CircleCI
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog
Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work well in a scale up environment
Understanding of fintech and payment industry is a plus

What the job involves

We are looking for an experienced Lead Dev Automation & Gen AI to join our Commando IT / Generative AI team
This position will be attached to the Head of Corporate IT and requires strong autonomy and vision
Our team is responsible for driving cross-functional performance improvements by developing automation solutions and AI-powered applications that have a measurable impact on productivity and revenue generation
Develop and maintain solutions to improve performance of transversal business units
Backend, frontend, infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD development
Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting systems
Improve development processes while finding the right balance between rigor, speed and flexibility for software development & research organization
Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry standards
Develop and maintain containerization and orchestration systems using tools like Docker
Document processes and procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across the team
Manage 3x interns and oversee project initiatives, with potential for team expansion based on proven results

iBanFirst is a Brussels-based fintech start-up that offers an online multi-currency transaction platform so its clients can pay and receive payments in any currency whilst avoiding foreign exchange risks.

The company serves as an alternative to the traditional bank offer, enabling a payment experience and package of financial services that cater for the daily needs of small-to-medium sized enterprises. By having its own core banking infrastructure, the company has a competitive advantage in the roll-out of its technological roadmap, including the release of new products. One such release is its payment tracker, which improves security levels and thereby strengthens trust between clients and suppliers.

Following Series B funding, the company saw tremendous growth, tripling its payment volume and developing its footprint in Europe after acquiring Dutch and German competitors. More recent funding has been invested into continuing to deliver solutions whilst expanding its SME and mid-tier offerings.
