Role
Who you are
- You are a proactive and detail-oriented Security Engineer who excels at designing and implementing security measures to safeguard an organization’s data, systems, and networks
- You have a keen eye for identifying and mitigating potential security threats, and you are driven by the challenge of maintaining a strong security posture
- You thrive in dynamic environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and continuously evolving to stay ahead of emerging security risks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a security engineering or related role
- Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management solutions
- Proficiency in network and system administration
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards such as SOC2 and ISO 27001
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with cloud environments, AWS preferred
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are a plus
What the job involves
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection
- Conduct security assessments, application security reviews, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address security risks
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs to detect and respond to incidents
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response activities
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into system architectures and software development lifecycle
- Provide security training and awareness programs for employees
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, threats, and industry trends
