Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX design, a passion for user-centered design, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- High technical acumen and experience designing for complex problems and tools (bonus for having designed data-oriented products)
- Comfortable working and collaborating with a highly technical user base
- Understand through experience that UX is always evolving and you seek impact over perfection
- Proactively seek out qualitative and quantitative insights to inform and improve your designs
- Experience working with enterprise software and data operations is an even bigger plus
- 5+ years experience in UX research, UI design, or similar role
What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior UX Product Designer to join our growing design team at Cribl. This pivotal role will focus on shaping and executing our design strategy, bringing cohesion to our product suite, and driving major initiatives for end-to-end user experience (E2E UX) across our products
- Product Cohesion: Work closely with the design team, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified design language and consistent user experience across the product suite. Create and maintain design systems and guidelines
- E2E UX Initiatives: Contribute to major UX initiatives that span multiple products, ensuring an integrated and intuitive user experience from start to finish
- User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and feedback. Translate findings into actionable design improvements and strategic recommendations. Contribute to UX research for early stages of product development to determine key personas, scenarios and workflows
- Collaboration: Partner with the design team and cross-functional teams to define and prioritize design projects. Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and brainstorming sessions to foster innovation and collaboration. Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to define product strategy, scope, and prioritization
- Problem Solving: Work through product problems from definition and opportunity to shipping features to our customers
- Prototyping: Design and prototype multiple ideas quickly, sometimes with customers, to validate product direction. Create design concepts, high-fidelity prototypes and detailed design specifications to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions
- Execution: Produce UX assets to meet both customer and engineering needs. Produce UX assets to meet both customer and engineering needs
- Feedback: Gather and incorporate feedback from users, stakeholders, and team members to iteratively improve and refine designs
- User Centric Design: Gain a solid understanding of our tools and the way our customers use them to help drive product innovation and guide user experiences across all Cribl products
- Contribute to Design Maturity: Contribute to growing Cribl’s design maturity through your curiosity and understanding of our products and UX best practices like design led workshops, journey mapping exercises and by contributing to vision projects

In a bid to simplify big data analytics, Cribl offers a data observability pipeline which allows users to reduce low value data, improve routing and gain more data context on one interface.
As companies now collect more and more data from frequently scattered sources, its useability and reliability comes into question. By offering an observability service, Cribl allows users to maintain the health of their data systems by monitoring, tracking and troubleshooting issues.
Cribl's main challenge will be competing with the likes of Observe and Edge Delta. However, Cribl has raised impressive funds that should accelerate its transition from a limited tool vendor to a fully-fledged observability suite. The company also boasts surpassing $100 million in annual recurring revenue, having grown this from $1 million in less than four years.
