Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience writing production-level code in Python, building data pipelines, and wrangling SQL
- Experience architecting solutions in Airflow, DBT, Python—full stack data engineering
- Knowledge digging into logs, verifying edge cases, and ensuring high quality integrations
- Domain knowledge is a plus, but we value grit, curiosity, and a passion for solving complex problems above all else
What the job involves
- Work on impactful Data Integrations to deliver trusted data and intelligence that is user-friendly, creates value for both our customers and MANTL, and empowers community banks and credit unions.
- You own new integrations from design to GA
- You are excited about standing up platform and tooling for real-time data flows to business-critical systems for Banks and Credit Unions - Document Management, Anti-Money Laundering, CRM, and more
- You work closely with engineering to ensure seamless integration of APIs and data flows
- You collaborate with design, product, and development teams to enhance the usability and functionality of data tools
- You rapidly triage and solve mountains of support tickets
- You Devise quick fixes for document-type mapping changes and SQL tweaks
- You Keep integrations rock-solid while driving revenue through activation
Our take
Credit unions and community banks make up a large proportion of the roughly 10,000 banks in the US, but many of these small organizations struggle to provide key online services. Lacking the budgets to build the software needed, they usually outsource their services to legacy providers with outdated, decades-old software.
MANTL, originally established as a challenger bank, quickly realized a gap in the market and now provides digital account opening products to community banks and credit unions. Compared to older competitors such as Fiserv and Jack Henry, MANTL is able to open an account in less than 3 minutes rather than days or even weeks, and reduces fraud by more than 60%.
MANTL's success can be partly attributed to a nationwide shift from physical in-branch banking to mobile platforms, which has encouraged many more people to use apps for making deposits. This trend is showing no sign of slowing down, and with a customer base serving hundreds of thousands of people and a high degree of investment, MANTL is well poised for future success.
