Experience at a startup

What the job involves

We are looking for the founding members of our Operations engineering team
This team will be responsible for redefining how the world’s largest organizations meet large data annotation needs for groundbreaking models.
Building on Snorkel AI’s core platform centered around programmatic data development, FDEs will develop project-specific automations and optimizations to accelerate data generation, labeling, quality checks and more
These automation improvements will be used as critical product feedback to incorporate in our fast growing DaaS product. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as research, engineering and operations to pioneer innovative workflows to power best-in-class ML models
Prototype and build automation scripts for large-scale annotation workflows
Be resourceful and creative in problem solving to meet customer requirements and deadline
Create interactive dashboards in support of cross-functional partners in the operations and project management teams
Design and optimize relational database schemas and complex queries to support high-performance data workflows
Work with OpenAI APIs and other LLM-related tools to develop AI/ML-powered features

Demand for AI is increasing in almost every industry, but the machine learning that fuels it is tedious to set up. In order to train machine learning algorithms, training data must be labelled manually, and this contributes to expenses in time, money and resources when integrating AI within a business.

Snorkel AI develops programmatic approaches to data labelling in order to automate the setup process of machine learning and decrease the required timeframe for a business to begin providing AI services. In addition to these automated data categorization services, the company also integrates data training, management, and analysis into a unified AI-deployment platform.

The complex computer science behind AI setup has resulted in many businesses without computer science backgrounds being left behind, and Snorkel AI has set this as their target audience. And recently, the company raised some serious funding which it plans to use to expand the company;'s engineering, research, and go-to-market efforts.
