Who you are
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Similar Role exposed to incident handling and implementation of ISO controls
- A bachelor's Degree in information technology or equivalent business experience (a master's level equivalent preferred)
- Familiarity with customer service BPO
- Security certifications such as CISSP/ CEH /CRISC or equivalent experience
- Architecture certifications to support the Azure environment
- Framework Knowledge of Security best practices (CIA/ITIL/NIST/ISO)
- Proven experience in:
- Developing Security Policies and procedures
- Enforcing compliance with Security Policies and all applicable laws and regulations
- Experience in multiple technological disciplines preferred
- Mentoring, growing, and developing skills in a young team
- Experience in delivering projects and managing stakeholder expectations
- Managing Security Programs
What the job involves
- This role is a technical leadership position
- The Senior Information Security Officer is responsible for carrying out the Information Security responsibilities within the company, providing technical security solutions to the business as required, performing security impact analyses, as well as training staff on countering emerging security threats
- The Senior Information Security Officer is responsible for research, development, implementation, testing, and reviewing the organization's information security in order to protect the information and prevent unauthorized access
- In this role, the Senior Information Security Officer will be interacting with all the functions of the IT Team in order to identify potential security weaknesses and recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities
- This role includes mentoring the junior security staff both in experience and certification
- The incumbent is responsible for all incident response events and compliance with the security frameworks of the company, namely ISO / NIST / PCI DSS
- Anticipate technical security risks and secure all critical working environments
- Oversee/assist in performing ongoing security monitoring of organizational information systems
- Assist in the selection of vendor products and work with internal organizations such as Operations and IT Security and SOX/Compliance to produce and gain sign-off of the required artifacts to allow a swift technical implementation
- Collaborate with Outsource partners and improve third-party Secure engagements
- Complete all customer security assessments
- Conduct functionality and gap analyses to determine the extent to which key business areas and infrastructure comply with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Conduct Security assessments
- Design and standardize Security operation documentation
- Develop company Security strategy and lead the team to produce and operate a secure and effective SaaS offering
- Evaluate and recommend new information security technologies and counter-measures against threats to information or privacy
- Lead in the development/adoption and enforcement of Information Security Policies, Procedures, and standards
- Lead director-sponsored strategic corporate initiatives resulting in security solutions and realizing ROI
- Optimizing existing Security solutions in line with CIA triad
- Provide technical solutions for business needs
- Research and test new and upcoming Security technologies
- Assist in RFPs from a security point of view
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Act as DPO
