Role
Who you are
- Successful completed academic education in the field of economics, business informatics, data science or similar
- Several years (5+) of relevant work experience in portfolio management to support our current growth phase
- Experience in risk management and data analysis rounds off your profile
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, and SQL, advanced knowledge of Python, SQL or R is an advantage
- Very good understanding of numbers and high affinity for technology
- Fluent English skills are mandatory, German knowledge is a plus
- You have to be based in Berlin, Germany or must be willing to relocate on your own with a work allowance for Germany already at hand
What the job involves
- With a fully automated and individually tailored approach, we use AI to assess the situation of our debtors individually and thus achieve higher repayment rates without burdening the customer relationship
- Based on this, we have built up a portfolio of financial assets which has grown significantly. To strengthen the team which is responsible for this portfolio, we are looking for a top notch (Senior) Portfolio & Risk Analyst (f/m/d) to support us and our mission
- Starting with the pricing of underlying assets, followed by the acquisition and the monitoring of the portfolio’s performance, this role is exposed to the entire process and provides an opportunity to apply your analytical skills across the entire value chain of our portfolio
- Understanding trends, evaluating results and generating meaningful insights means you can have a substantial impact right from day one
- Price and risk assessment, working closely with the sales and business development teams
- Acquiring underlying assets in collaboration with external partners
- Performance analysis, generating insights and identifying trends as the basis for operational measures to optimize returns
- Continuous improvements in a fast growth business, including process and infrastructure enhancements
- Close collaboration with other teams such as Sales and Partnership, Data Science, BI and senior management

In this event, businesses generally resort to debt collection agencies, but this can come across as intimidating, damage customer relationships, and prevent overdue customers from returning.
PAIR Finance leverages artificial intelligence to analyze customer interactions and behavioral data during the debt collection process in order to identify how to make customers more open to payment of their debts. The company also provides industry-specific services for credit scoring, portfolio purchasing, and customer retention, custom-designed for eCommerce, banking, energy and other industries.
Debt collection is a process that has remained stagnant for decades, so PAIR Finance has found a unique niche in the market. By investigating what makes customers avoid paying their debts, and using machine learning to develop frictionless debt collection strategies, it is set to make real change in the sector as it expands to more European locations.
