Role
Who you are
- 5-10 years of experience in technical program management and/or product management, preferably within the SaaS or enterprise software industry
- Prior experience working on AI/ML projects is a strong plus
- Solid understanding of the product development process (PDP) and software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, specifically Agile and Scrum
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, designers, and product managers
- Extensive experience in defining projects, risk identification, scope coordination, dependency recognition, scheduling, and the deployment of new products and features
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and foster a collaborative team environment
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem solving
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello
- Working knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) concepts and their application in software development
- MS, MBA, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related technical field or equivalent
- Experience as a data scientist using modeling tools
- Proven experience as a Program Manager in a technology-driven and fast-growing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
What the job involves
- As a Technical Product Manager at Kumo.AI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and success of our product, which enables organizations to build Predictive Agents that learn over private historical data and provide with best in class accuracy
- You'll be closely working with the founders and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of major features and solutions that meet customer needs on a per-release basis
- You would be responsible for product management operations, user research, defining the CUJs, driving the product roadmap, and ensuring the timely delivery of major features and solutions that meet customer needs on a per-release basis
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of GenAI/ML projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and business objectives
- Break down complex GenAI/ML projects into manageable tasks and create detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Manage project risks and dependencies, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues
- Track project progress, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on project status to stakeholders
- Facilitate regular team meetings, communication channels, and collaboration between engineering, data science, and product teams
- Manage project budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization
- Document project plans, requirements, and processes for future reference
- Stay up-to-date on the latest project management methodologies and best practices

Kumo offers an AI-powered platform to help businesses tackle predictive problems, with a specific focus on graph neural networks. Founded by several AI executives from companies including Pinterest, Airbnb and LinkedIn, the company certainly has strong foundations to build on.
Kumo can be used for lots of different use cases, including new customer acquisition, customer retention, personalization, abuse detection and financial crime detection. The company has attracted considerable interest from enterprises, largely because these companies spend millions of dollars storing data, and yet are unable to effectively leverage most of it due to the time, effort, and skill required.
Having brought in series B funding in 2022, the company is moving to bring its AI technology to more companies, whilst investing in R&D efforts to expand its platform and services. Lately, developments have included the announcement that Kumo can now run deep learning directly in the Data Cloud with Snowpark Container Services (eliminating data exfiltration and security concerns), as well as the ability to deploy Kumo on Databricks' Lakehouse Apps without ever leaving the ecosystem.
