Who you are
- 8+ years of experience in content marketing, corporate communications, or related roles for B2B SaaS companies
- Skilled writer and editor with an eye for detail (this is a must)
- A natural storyteller with a passion for video content and visual storytelling (it’s what we do!)
- Highly creative thinker and proactive worker who is always looking for new ideas
- Strong understanding of modern content marketing tactics and trends
- Effective communicator who is driven to “cut through the noise” with thoughtful, memorable, and differentiated messaging
- Motivated by a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment (this is B2B marketing, after all)
- Previous experience marketing to financial services, healthcare, or insurance is a plus
- A collaborative team player with a positive, solutions-first attitude
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a creative, versatile, and energetic marketer to lead SundaySky’s content marketing and communications strategies
- From blogs and bylines to webinars and (of course!) videos, this person will oversee the development of high-quality assets that fuel demand generation, build brand awareness, and cement SundaySky’s position as a thought leader in the exciting enterprise video software space
- This role reports to the VP, Marketing
- Lead content strategy: Develop a cross-channel content strategy aligned with SundaySky’s value story and business objectives, targeting key buyer personas and verticals
- Campaign collaboration: Partner closely with the Demand Generation lead to activate content initiatives in support of campaign priorities, channels, and growth targets
- Multi-format content creation: Develop compelling content across a variety of formats – (videos, research reports, eBooks, blogs, interactive web experiences, etc.), ensuring assets are effectively repurposed to maximize reach and engagement
- Webinar strategy: Spearhead a new webinar program to drive lead generation, share ideas, and promote customer stories
- SEO & organic growth: Collaborate with the Website lead to deliver content that grows organic visitors via the blog and the latest SEO best practices
- PR and influencer relations: Manage media outreach activities to amplify SundaySky’s brand presence in the market
- Organic social media: Oversee the company’s social media presence to engage audiences via stand-out content on LinkedIn, Instagram, etc
- Scale content production: Utilize AI tools, freelance writers, subject matter experts, and the company’s internal creative design studio to increase content quality and output
- Performance optimization: Analyze and report on content performance metrics to continuously improve effectiveness and engagement
- Market intelligence: Gain a deep understanding of the enterprise video platform market and collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales and other functions to identify new content requirements and market trends
- Brand stewardship: Help own our corporate story and ensure brand consistency of messaging and visual style across all content and communications platforms
Our take
Producing, distributing and optimizing video content can be a painstaking process, especially at scale. SundaySky solves this problem by allowing videos to be created dynamically and at scale in the same way webpages are.
SundaySky's video generating engine creates and renders videos automatically in seconds, and has created billions of video experiences to date. This solution has big appeal for enterprises, and SundaySky now serves big-name customers such as Comcast, Dell and United Airlines.
SundaySky's main challenge is competing with companies that offer similar services, such as Loom and Ziflow. However, the company's impressive client roster and the speed of its engine are strong indicators for future success. It also continues to add new features, for example a generative AI assistant that facilitates faster user-driven video creation through conversational text prompts.
