Who you are

A degree (or equivalent experience) in Graphic Design, Marketing, Multimedia, or a related creative field
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro or After Effects)
Experience with Figma, Canva or similar design platforms for rapid content creation and templating
Basic video editing skills for social media and marketing content
Awareness of digital marketing basics (SEO, email marketing, analytics) and exposure to web design (basic HTML / CSS or CMS platforms like WordPress) would be ideal, but not essential as training can be provided
A strong eye for design, layout, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
A portfolio showcasing design work (student projects, freelance work, or internships accepted)

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to help shape and maintain our brand across the business
The role covers a wide range of design work, from creating graphics and templates to supporting campaigns, events, and internal communications
You’ll also play a part in guiding the look and feel of our website, producing video content, and making sure our visual materials stay consistent and up to date
You will report directly to the Head of Marketing and work closely with colleagues across the entire business
The role involves a balance of creative concept development and day-to-day production of branded assets
Lead on the development of the brand and its associated assets, including templates, iconography, and visual guidelines. Working to
Create brand consistency across the entire business and its products
Create high-quality graphics for social media, website content, events, email campaigns and printed materials
Taking ownership of the company website, focusing on UI/UX, ensuring it reflects current design trends, and guiding optimisation based on user behaviour in collaboration with third-party developers
Create and edit short-form videos for marketing campaigns, social media posts, and internal communications
Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative concepts for campaigns and events
Support in preparing visual content for presentations, proposals, newsletters, and internal events
Design and build email campaign templates using ClickDimensions, ensuring they are visually engaging and audience appropriate
Manage and organise digital design files, ensuring assets are stored and labelled correctly
Stay informed on current design trends, tools, and best practices to contribute fresh ideas

Bromcom has come some way since Founder Ali Guryen developed a wireless school attendance recording system in the early 1980s – then hailed as revolutionary. Nowadays, the company offers schools and multi-academy trusts (MATs) a range of cloud-based software solutions for attendance and assessment tracking, data management, finance, and budgeting.

While it would be presumptuous to label the company the leader in its field, its claim that 70% of the UK’s secondary schools use Bromcom for their cloud MIS is a serious indication of its position. Its landmark deal to supply its software to over 200 maintained schools in West Sussex is also testament to the company's scope.

The public sector – from which the majority of Bromcom’s customer base comes – has often been criticised for its slow digital transformation. However, the education sector has recently accelerated its migration to the cloud, which is good news for Bromcom which has been championing (and perhaps banking on) this move for a while.
