- You have already gained several years of extensive experience as a product manager in the fields of energy, app development or IoT in an agile environment
- You have a keen interest and strong ambition to drive the energy transition forward and are enthusiastic about innovative solutions and topics
- You are goal-oriented and can empathise well with the challenges and wishes of customers
- You have strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- An independent, analytical and pragmatic way of working without losing sight of the big picture is a matter of course for you
- Very good English skills round off your profile
What the job involves
- Become part of our product team and shape the digital future of the energy sector together with our app developers!
- You will develop the interface for end customers in our app and ensure that commissioning and use is child's play
- Contribute your ideas and share your experience with the team!
- You take responsibility for the vision, roadmap and success of our end-customer app
- You develop a long-term strategy for the app and translate features into product development
- You work closely with the development and UX team and decide on prioritisation in the context of product development
- You analyse the success of the app for gridX and its user groups with the support of internal teams
- You discuss recommendations with the Head of Product and the C-Level
- You support the sales and marketing teams with all relevant content to ensure a smooth launch of new products
- You pass on your knowledge and experience in product management in various formats (e.g. workshops or 1on1s)
Our take
As energy sources diversify, via both electrification and a shift to renewables, it is vital that the infrastructure to support a more decentralised supply is built. GridX, founded in 2016, develops platforms for connecting, controlling, and optimising these decentralised energy resources, in order to facilitate the evolution of the grid.
The energy revolution is fuelled by the quickening adoption of electric vehicles, combined with “prosumer” behaviour, where consumers are producing their own energy via means such as solar panels and wind turbines. GridX supplies these “prosumers” with the tools to manage their home energy systems, for example by providing the data they need to be able to charge their EVs when their solar panels are producing an abundance, as well as providing businesses with solutions such as dynamic charging of their EVs to optimise energy usage.
GridX has experienced impressive growth in light of the shifts in energy consumer behaviour. The company has been acquired by Eon, with which they have been closely involved since 2017, enabling it to accelerate operations. It has also entered into partnerships with ChargePoint, one of the largest infrastructure providers for EVs in Europe and North America, and Dutch solar company Soly, to further push towards it goal to be a major facilitator for the energy transition.
