IT Operations Specialist, Alpaca

• Excited about Alpaca’s mission and what we’re building
• 6+ years in IT operations or systems engineering, with ownership of hardening and improving systems—not just answering tickets

• Hands-on experience with at least two MDM solutions, such as Jamf, Kandji, Intune, or comparable enterprise MDM
• Proven patch management experience, including testing, validation, and controlled rollout
• Experience with Google Workspace, 1Password, enterprise SaaS administration, EDR, and SSO or identity workflows
• Understanding of Zero Trust environments and networking concepts, with the ability to harden access and endpoints without constraining the business
• Experience building and improving automations using scripting, APIs, and workflow tools such as n8n; working fluency in at least two programming or scripting languages
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP and/or AWS) and infrastructure as code (such as Terraform); comfortable working in IaC-first environments
• Self-starter who responds quickly in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and works collaboratively across IT and other teams
• Based in a location that supports Eastern Time coverage and available for weekend on-call in a team rotation
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with strong analytical and collaboration skills
• Team player with an ownership mentality
