Currently enrolled at a design school or holding a bachelor's degree in design
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite software
Knowledge of After Effects is a huge plus
Organizational and project management skills - ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional environment
Strong design aesthetic in layout, composition, typography, and color usage
Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and collaboration skills
Self-motivated, comfortable working on tight deadlines and able to respond well to changing priorities
Interest and knowledge of the mental health and wellness space

What the job involves

We are looking for a Marketing Design Intern to join our Marketing team this summer
This role would be responsible for developing marketing materials including one-sheeters, postcards/flyers, emails, organic social content, decks, case studies, posters, and more
Duration: June 1st, 2026 - August 21st, 2026
Commitment: 20 hours per week
Projects: You'll work on 2-3 key initiatives, with one serving as your final deliverable
Mentorship: You'll be paired with a Talkspace mentor to guide you throughout the program
Assist in the creation of designs for social media, landing pages, email campaigns, print materials, and more
Create and build upon primary design principles (typography, layout, information architecture, and visual hierarchy), while improving existing conventions such as frameworks, design systems, guidelines, and templates
Articulate and present creative concepts clearly and concisely
Ensure all creative follows branding guidelines
Partner and collaborate across creative projects with both internal and external stakeholders
Support the team with various administrative and organizational tasks as needed
Assist in research and implementation of AI-related tools

Founded in 2012, Talkspace is an established name in the online therapy space, offering an appointment-free approach to mental health support. By providing unlimited access to a network of healthcare professionals, the platform delivers a cost-effective solution to underserved individuals in need of therapy, making mental health services more accessible.

Talkspace of course faces competition from other well-known brands like BetterHealth and Calmerry. But its IPO in 2021, and acquisition of relationship counselling platform Lasting, both showcase its solid presence in the space. It also continues to innovate, launching features such as Talkspace Engage which helps HR teams to foster workplace mental wellbeing.

In 2025, the company expanded its reach to 9.5 million military personnel and their families, further solidifying its commitment to making mental hearth care accessible to all. It was announced in 2026 that Talkspace will be acquired by Universal Health, a deal that is expected to close later in the year and that we will have to wait for more details on.
