Role
Who you are
- Experience in technical, customer-facing, or technical pre-sales roles
- Proven background in supporting the sale of modelling and simulation solutions across a range of industries, including (but not limited to) government, energy, telecommunications, smart cities, and defence
- Exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate technical concepts effectively to a diverse audience, including C-suite executives, engineering teams, and product professionals
- Strong presentation and technical communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders
- Experience in designing high-level system architectures that integrate with customer environments
- A background or strong understanding of developing and deploying large-scale models
- Enthusiasm for collaborative, cross-functional work, navigating trade-offs, and balancing competing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Please note that due to Security Clearance requirements, we can only consider applications from individuals based in the U.K. for at least 5+ years
What the job involves
- The Product function plays a crucial role in driving the development and continuous improvement of Skyral’s products and services
- We set the long term vision of our software and ensure that our Modelling and Simulation products remain market leading in an ever changing environment
- We are continuously evaluating new opportunities whilst ensuring that our customers requirements are met through constant innovation
- Act as a strategic technical advisor to evaluate opportunities to ensure they align with our long-term vision
- Work closely with Product, Business Development, and Technical teams to gain a deep understanding of customer needs, translating them into technical solutions that align with business goals
- Act as the lead architectural authority whilst actively promoting the company and our products to customers
- Step in to overcome technical challenges and unblock key strategic customer deals in collaboration with partners
- Engage with customers and partners to identify high-value, industry-specific modelling and simulation applications, co-develop joint solutions, and establish reference architectures and best practices to accelerate deployment

Skyral, born from Improbable's defence division, launched in late 2023 and quickly delivered its first product for the UK Ministry of Defences. Now operating independently, its core platform, Skyral Shadow powers large-scale simulations across infrastructure and human behavior or mission planning and decision support.
The company is seeing support for its mission too, having received substantial funding in 2025 which will help it expand globally and grow its commercial footprint. With over 60% of work now outside defence, it's rapidly becoming a key player in digital twins across sectors like national security, healthcare, and infrastructure.
