Role
Who you are
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience as an individual contributor (primarily backend or full stack)
- 4+ years spent leading teams of 5 or more engineers
- Demonstrated proficiency with Python or Go
- Experience with AI coding tools and AI agents
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools (e.g., GitHub/GitLab, ArgoCD, Datadog, Sentry)
- Experience working in a dynamic startup and/or high-growth environments
Desirable
- Experience building and maintaining integrations with external systems and managing data processing pipelines at scale
- Experience working in enterprise SaaS environment, or health tech
What the job involves
- As the Senior Engineering Manager of the Clinical Platform team at Regard, you will manage, lead, and grow squads of Software Engineers
- You will play a core role, collaborating across engineering and product to lead the development of key features within our provider-facing product
- You will be responsible for setting strategic vision, prioritization decisions, technical execution, and team leadership
- You’ll play a key role in exploring and integrating generative AI to unlock new capabilities and elevate the user experience across our platform
- This role will report directly to our CTO
- Manage and support teams of AI-empowered engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development
- Lead development and delivery of product features, collaborating closely with product and design partners to drive user satisfaction and product adoption
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to system design, balancing long-term scalability with near-term delivery
- Support the team in maintaining production reliability and performance, including participation in on-call rotations
- Contribute to the codebase when needed to unblock the team or gain hands-on understanding of technical challenges
- Drive execution of complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and clinical subject matter experts to ensure smooth coordination and communication

Patient data is invaluable to clinicians, providing them with past medical information that is essential to inform accurate diagnoses. However, the analysis of this medical data can be time-consuming and this results in non-comprehensive data analysis, with efforts being further strained by administrative duties such as note-taking and missed revenue capturing.
Regard provides an AI-driven medical diagnosis platform, facilitating the automated analysis and synthesis of patient data, diagnoses recommendation, note-taking, and capturing of missed revenue. Whilst AI-driven medical data analysis platforms are nothing new, Regard stands out by taking a human-interrupted approach to AI, resulting in what is considered an AI clinical assistant as opposed to replacing the work of clinicians.
The company claims that its software can save clinicians up to 30% of their time through its automation, whilst improving diagnostic accuracy, reducing coding queries, and improving hospital finances to result in more than $100K in revenue impact per user. $61 million in Series B funding raised in 2024 is being used to ramp up product development and LLM research efforts and expand its reach beyond inpatient centres.
