Role
Who you are
- We’re hiring a Sales Director who thrives on closing high-impact deals and is energized by the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing sales team from the ground up
- This is a player-coach role, ideal for someone who understands the unique dynamics of franchise organizations, from franchisor decision-making to multi-unit operator execution — and who’s ready to scale a winning GTM motion at a fast-growing SaaS company
- 7+ years of closing experience in B2B SaaS, martech, or agency environments — with a strong preference for those with direct experience selling into franchise organizations
- (Required) Deep understanding of franchisor/franchisee dynamics, including co-op marketing, field teams, development timelines, compliance, and location-level engagement
- Experience selling to multi-unit operators, franchise development, or marketing/ops leaders within franchise brands
- Proven player-coach: You can close complex deals while mentoring and building a high-performing team
- Consultative, solution-oriented sales approach — you map problems to technology and deliver ROI-driven pitches
- Self-starter with a high sense of urgency — thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Experience with HubSpot CRM and strong sales pipeline management discipline
- Experience representing your company at conferences or franchise trade shows is a strong plus
What the job involves
- Own and close deals with franchise brands, including franchisors, multi-unit operators, and franchisee groups — from first meeting to signed contract, leading internal alignment to address complex contract negotiations
- Navigate the franchise ecosystem — understanding who makes decisions, how marketing flows from franchisor to franchisee, and how to align with both
- Constantly innovate the sales playbook — refining outreach, discovery, qualification, and closing processes tailored to the complexities of multi-location franchise businesses
- Key leadership role with the opportunity to leave your fingerprint on a winning SaaS go-to-market strategy and execution — coach, mentor, and help scale a high-performing team
- Collaborate with marketing to identify target verticals and personas across the franchise landscape
- Effectively communicate Voxie’s value proposition, tailored for audiences at the franchisee, franchisor, and executive level
- Report on sales pipeline, forecast performance, and continuously improve win rates and velocity
- Represent Voxie at industry and franchise-specific conferences to build relationships and drive brand awareness
- What Success Looks Like:
- You close $50K–$500K+ deals with top franchise brands across QSR, services, education, and more
- You build trusted relationships with franchisor marketing and operations leaders, and understand how to gain buy-in across both corporate and franchisee stakeholders
- You develop a repeatable process that accelerates growth and allows Voxie to scale into thousands more locations
- You bring urgency, energy, and accountability — and your customers and teammates love working with you
Our take
Text messaging is a versatile marketing strategy for brands, especially with mobile phone ownership and engagement on the rise. This issue, however, is how to manage large-scale engagement: the messaging needs to be on-brand, timely, and engaging. Voxie has developed an AI chatbot that works over SMS, helping brands engage customers more intimately and at scale.
The conversational AI market is getting crowded, certainly, but this could work in Voxie’s favor. Quiq, Futr, and Yellow.ai are among the many that have received substantial funding over recent years, but their focus (along with many emerging startups) is largely on the use of conversational AI in customer service.
Voxie’s use of AI to streamline the SMS marketing funnel is slightly different. This means that whilst it’s likely to benefit from the general upswing in business demand for the technology, it occupies a slightly different niche that insulates it from some of the competition.
