Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of professional backend software engineering experience OR
- B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
- Experience with server-side languages like Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server)
- Ability to complete complex projects involving partners across multiple teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bonus: Experience with building scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS

- We are seeking a Sr. Backend Software Engineer to join the End Client Experience team within our Core Product Engineering organization
- Our team is focused on building outstanding user experiences, powerful APIs, and sophisticated analysis and visualization tools for our global customer base of Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers and their clients
- We partner closely with a world-class team of designers and product managers, and put the experiences of our customers at the forefront of every initiative
- Our products are rapidly being adopted across the Wealth Management industry, and as we modernize and upgrade our core product, we are also making use of our APIs to build out entirely new products and features. We pride ourselves on delivering robust, secure, and highly usable applications
- The End Client Experience team builds our APIs and user interfaces that power our web and mobile investor portals, allowing our customers to share data visualizations, reports, and documents to their clients across a variety of platforms
- Develop and implement our product vision within a multi-functional team
- Elevate our APIs to new heights, to meet the demands of our rapidly expanding customer base
- Create innovative and impactful features that delight our users
- Collaborate on architecture designs, product features, and code reviews
- Own software features from inception through delivery

The platform aggregates portfolio, market, and client data in one place, allowing financial professionals to analyze and visualize the data they need.
Addepar currently tracks more than $4 trillion of assets with circa 800 clients including individual advisers, family offices, and large institutions such as AllianceBernstein, Bartlett Wealth Management, and Morgan Stanley.
The multi-unicorn company has been pursuing global expansion, opening its first office outside of the United States in Scotland in 2021 and a new London office in late 2022 and appointing new leadership members from the likes of Oracle and Amazon Web Services. Addepar is certainly gaining momentum as it expands operations and further innovates its suite of solutions.
