Who you are
- Are a builder. You’re not here to maintain—you're here to help define the modern marketplace for vintage cards

- Want your passion to be your career. Talking cards, advising collectors, and connecting people to the right opportunities is your dream job
- Are coachable and curious. Even if you don’t know every set or nuance, you’re eager to learn and humble enough to take feedback
- 3–5 years of full-cycle sales experience, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment
- Proven track record of exceeding quota and managing pipeline in Salesforce (or similar CRM)
- Strong communication skills with both customers and internal teams
- Relentless drive—comfortable with cold outreach, discovery, and deal-closing conversations
- A passion for vintage cards—whether as a collector, investor, dealer, or lifelong fan of the hobby
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a proven Associate Account Executive with deep knowledge and passion for vintage cards—whether it’s pre-war baseball, ‘50s Bowman, ‘86 Fleer, or the non-sports classics that shaped collecting.
- You know the history, the players, and the stories behind the cardboard. And you know how to translate that knowledge into trusted relationships and closed deals
- Close business. Own the full sales cycle and bring vintage buyers and sellers onto Alt
- Hunt daily. We’ll start you with accounts, but your long-term success comes from sourcing new consignors and collectors in the vintage space
- Build trust. In vintage, reputation is everything. You’ll become the person serious collectors want to consign with, buy from, and sell to
- Shape product. You’ll spot gaps—whether it’s auction formats, pricing tools, or seller workflows—and bring those insights back to the team
- Run your process. Prospecting, qualification, relationship-building—it’s all muscle memory for you
Our take
Increased interest in alternative assets has resulted in an unexpected boom in the collectables market, as more people are seeking to diversify their portfolios. Alt is a trading and portfolio management platform capitalizing on this exciting new upswing, making it simple to buy and sell investment-grade trading cards.
Initially dealing exclusively with sports cards, the company’s platform has expanded to include other trading card types, ranging from Pokémon to Yu-Gi-Oh! Alt sets itself apart from the competition by offering its users a vast range of attractive options, such as no buyer premiums, cash advances, Alt Vault card storage and borrowing options.
By tackling the three key problems hobbling the uptake of alternative asset investments (liquidity, price transparency, and physical storage) Alt’s success certainly opens the door for further expansion into different assets like art and sneakers, ushering in a new model for alternative asset markets.
