Role
Who you are
- 3-5 years of web development experience, ideally with React & Next.js
- Fluency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and web performance best practices
- Experience with headless CMSs and component-based development, Contentful preferred
- Familiarity with SEO, analytics tagging, and experimentation tools
- Collaborative mindset and a passion for user-centric, results-driven work
- Interest in working cross-functionally with marketing, growth, and design
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Web Experience Engineer to help build and optimize our marketing site, making drata.com a high-converting, high-performing destination
- This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building new features, optimizing performance, and scaling the marketing website for the next phase of growth
- You’ll collaborate closely with teams across marketing to implement modern web features, components, and data tracking that drive results
- Build and maintain scalable UI components using React, Next.js, and Tailwind
- Support component design, content modeling, and CMS (Contentful) integration
- Partner with marketing teams on feature launches, testing, and CRO
- Implement tracking, analytics, SEO enhancements, and accessibility improvements
- Optimize site performance (Core Web Vitals), SEO, and page load speed
- Work with Vercel to manage preview environments and deploy new features quickly
- Run QA, testing, and participate in sprint planning and code reviews
- Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance component libraries and site infrastructure
- Tech Stack: Next.js (App Router), React / JavaScript / TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Contentful (Headless CMS), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Vercel (CI/CD, edge deployment) , Figma

The company has several competitors offering compliance automation solutions, including Vanta and Secureframe, but Drata is unique in automating the tasks itself rather than generating notifications for teams to action. This approach has garnered Drata a client base of thousands of companies, including bambooHR, Notion and Abnormal.
Drata has grown swiftly since its 2020 founding and acquired trust automation company Safebase in 2025 for a staggering $250 million. Iconiq Growth and GGV Capital have led Drata's impressive funding rounds in previous years, but its aim now is to expand its presence. Through its acquisition of SafeBase, Drata has also gained its customers, among which are tech leaders such as Palantir, LinkedIn and OpenAI, which will undoubtedly help it maintain its leading edge.
