Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of proven experience managing API first products ideally within a SaaS or data-focused company
- Strong technical fluency, including understanding of APIs, data models, and integration architectures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex user and partner needs into scalable product solutions
- Strong customer empathy, especially for developer and enterprise use cases
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with ambiguity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging a wide range of stakeholders
What the job involves
- You will own one of the most critical foundations of Mural’s product ecosystem: how data flows into, through, and out of our platform
- Your mission is to deliver a meaningful end-to-end experience for users by building deep, reliable connections to the systems and data they use every day. You’ll define and execute Mural’s integration strategy, ensuring the integration is designed to help users seamlessly move to making decisions and on to the next milestone
- This role is central to our product value and customer trust. You’ll balance short- and long-term perspectives while relentlessly focusing on creating intuitive, resilient workflows that unlock real impact for our users
- Define and lead the strategy and roadmap for integrated workflows across Mural’s product ecosystem
- Drive an API-first, scalable architecture that enables reliable data exchange and interoperable solutions
- Ensure integrations meet high standards for performance, security, reliability, and user value
- Own the full integration lifecycle from discovery and user research through design, development, testing, and launch
- Translate complex customer, developer, and partner needs into clear, scalable product solutions
- Measure success through adoption, reliability, and meaningful customer outcomes
- Develop a strong understanding of enterprise, developer, and partner needs through research, feedback, and analytics
- Maintain strong partnerships with key ecosystem players (e.g., Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Slack, and others)
- Stay ahead of market trends in integrations, workflow automation, and platform ecosystems
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and GTM partners to deliver cohesive, high-impact solutions
- Communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Influence without authority to align teams around shared outcomes

Mural is a virtual collaboration platform that caters both to the increasing demand for visual work methods and the shift towards remote working. Functioning more like a team- or business-wide whiteboard than a chat room, it is part of a developing trend away from single-channel platforms like Slack and towards a more integrated collaborative workspace.
Founded in 2011, Mural is an early entrant in an increasingly crowded field which includes rivals such as Gather and Tandem. However, it stands out with the flexibility of its approach to multi-functional virtual spaces and range of integrations. This has allowed it to gather a large customer base in a diverse range of companies including IBM, Autodesk and SAP.
The company boasts strong development, securing multiple funding rounds early in its journey that grew its valuation beyond $2 billion. It has since successfully found a more mature direction through leadership changes and a rebrand, continue its growth in a new phase for the company.
