Role
Who you are
- 5+ years experience in a technical or customer facing role, 2+ years in post-sales solutions engineering or similar role
- Strong foundation in data concepts: business intelligence, data warehousing, data analysis, or data governance
- Hands-on proficiency in SQL, REST APIs, and authentication models (e.g., OAuth2, SAML, token-based)
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript to extend integration functionality or build workflow logic
- Excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Consultative problem-solving mindset with a high degree of ownership and accountability
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and how integrations run across these fast-paced environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining clarity and attention to detail
- High emotional intelligence and ability to build trusted relationships with customers and teams
Desirable
- Familiarity with HRIS, manufacturing systems, or HR technology platforms—particularly as integration endpoints
- Experience with event-driven architecture or queueing systems (e.g., webhooks, Kafka, SQS)
- Understanding of common data formats and transformation tools (e.g., JSON, XML, JQ)
What the job involves
- We are looking for an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our fast-paced, customer-focused Solutions team
- In this remote role, you’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor to new and existing customers, working cross-functionally to design, implement, and support high-impact data solutions and integrations
- This is a hands-on, post-sales role focused on ensuring successful deployment, integration, and adoption of our platform
- You’ll collaborate with clients to understand their technical landscape, align solutions to their goals, and drive value from day one
- You’ll also work internally across Customer Experience, Product, and Engineering to elevate outcomes and represent the voice of the customer
- We’re seeking someone who’s just as comfortable writing a SQL query as leading a customer call—resourceful, detail-oriented, and motivated by solving meaningful problems
- Build and maintain production-ready integrations using REST APIs, SDKs, scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript), and automation platforms (e.g., Workato, Zapier)
- Develop and manage data pipelines and workflows between our platform and third-party systems
- Write, test, and debug API calls, manage authentication flows (OAuth2, API keys), and implement error handling/resiliency in integration logic
- Answer customer questions about technical topics (integrations, single-sign-on/SSO, data governance, and platform)
- Serve as the client’s technical integration owner during integration onboarding and implementation
- Design and document reusable workflows, scripts, and integration patterns for internal and customer use
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to escalate issues, share feedback, and influence roadmap priorities
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing based on urgency and impact
Our take
Keeping up with call-outs, shift changes and absences for hourly workers can be difficult, and the mismanagement of staff shifts can result in poor company-worker relationships. TeamSense allows businesses in the manufacturing industry to communicate about absences with their hourly workforce via text, and track attendance from one place.
It is this text-first approach, that does not require a new app, that separates the company from its competitors. Onboarding is faster and workers do not need to learn new workflows, as they are instead guided through the process of reporting an absence via a simple survey in their normal text app.
For employers, they gain a way to easily communicate with workers and avoid the stress of disputes, building stronger trust with their workforces. This idea has been well-received, and TeamSense has raised promising funds that will be used to hire development and go-to market teams.
