Role
Who you are
- Proven experience in Project Management or in a similar role within a SaaS environment
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and deployment automation
- Are self-driven and passionate, but also pragmatic and well-organized,
- Posses strong problem-solving and analytical skills,
- Are able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities,
- Focus on excellence, communication, bringing intiative to your everyday work and always look for improvements in your work
What the job involves
- As a Release Manager at hyperexponential, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire release lifecycle of our software products
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and execute releases, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest quality
- You will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring our release processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives
- Release Planning and Coordination: Collaborating with product management, development, QA, and other stakeholders to create and execute on release plans to ensure timely delivery
- Deputising for Delivery Lead: Supporting with Delivery Lead responsibilities includes managing strategic projects, stakeholder communications, identify potential risks and dependencies that could impact the release schedule or quality, and develop mitigation strategies to address them
- Version Control: Creating clarity over branch creation, naming and management
- Environment Management: Overseeing the management of development, testing, staging, and production environments to ensure consistency and reliability across different stages of the release process
- Deployment Management: Planning and executing deployment activities, coordinating with Product Marketing and Customer Support to inform customers of release functionality and downtime windows
- Communication: Keeping stakeholders informed about the progress of releases, any changes to the release schedule, and potential impacts on users or customers
- Continuous Improvement: Leading post-release evaluation activities, assessing the success of the release, prioritising the most valuable improvements and tracking their completion
- Compliance and Security: Ensuring that releases comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data security, privacy, and compliance
