Who you are
- You can communicate clearly in both written and oral form in English
- You have several experiences architecting and building web products in a team, in a fast paced environment
- You have experience writing long-lasting software, guided by domain-driven design and software craftsmanship techniques
- You are an expert in domain modeling and API design
- You have experience with functional programming, and want to use it in your job
What the job involves
- We are looking for a senior full-stack software engineer to join our tech team and build our product
- You will report to an engineering manager and work in a diverse team composed of a product manager, a product designer and other software engineers
- You will be fully responsible for the development of new features in the product, guided by the product team’s focus on business impact
- You will do this while maintaining the health of our codebase, so that we can keep improving the product as fast as possible
- You will drive major technical decisions that enable the business either directly or through greater delivery speed
- You will maintain our cloud infrastructure so that it fits our growing needs
- You will act as a coach for team members, helping them grow and learning from them
- You will make Inato’s tech shine externally and attract strong talent around you
- You will work on a product already used in production but still early in its life
- You will work hand-in-hand with a product team that cares more about business impact than the number of features delivered
- You will join a team of 15 engineers with strong culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Typical projects you could be working on:
- A profile page for clinical trial hospitals, whose content is enriched when users from the hospital are using the product, accumulating information that will be re-used when they apply for new trials in the future
- A prototype of a new part of the product allowing a pharmaceutical sponsor to evaluate the benefits of using Inato for a specific trial in their portfolio, leveraging a scoring model provided by the data team
- Build features from beginning to end (design, implementation, deployment, support)
- Drive major technical decisions and architectural changes
- Maintain a robust and scalable cloud infrastructure
- Coach team members to help them grow
- Share what you learn internally (ex: training material) and externally (ex: open source)
Our take
Inato is a platform that helps biopharmaceutical companies increase the pool of available patients engaged in clinical trials. The platform finds the best healthcare sites for any given study, and also ensures its partners are successfully delivering trials.
The platform was built to help physicians navigate through the hurdles of the increasingly complex research environment. Other companies advertise or match patients directly with trials, whereas Inato matches pharma companies with community sites around the world that are looking to offer more trials to their patients, which diversifies the patients available for each study.
Inato have received funding from several investors, much of which has been invested in expanding its predictive capabilities to match the right sites with the right studies. Recent initiatives include the advancement of its diversity product offering (that helps users to meet the diversity goals of their studies); the introduction of measures to increase oncology-specific enrolment; as well as moving to accelerate international growth and hiring efforts.
