Who you are
- Proven experience in partnership development, business development, or a similar role
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Extensive network within industries relevant to distribution partnerships, including financial services, media, or content creation
- Desirable: Background or knowledge in financial services, particularly investment products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

What the job involves
- We are seeking a dynamic Partnerships Manager to join our global team
- This role is pivotal in driving Wahed’s growth by identifying, securing, and managing distribution partnerships for our financial products
- The ideal candidate will leverage their strong relationship management skills and network to create meaningful collaborations with organizations, networks, and creators
- Our Partnerships Manager will play an integral role as Wahed continues to expand into new markets and enhance its product suite
- Develop and execute a global comprehensive partnerships strategy to identify and secure distribution partners in all major markets that we operate in
- Drive acquisition strategies through affiliate channels
- Build and nurture relationships with prospective partners, including organizations, networks, and influencers, to promote Wahed’s financial products
- Collaborate with internal regional teams to create compelling value propositions tailored to partner needs
- Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring mutual value creation and alignment with Wahed’s mission
- Manage ongoing relationships with partners, ensuring sustained engagement and performance
- Track and analyze partnership performance metrics, optimizing efforts to maximize ROI
- Stay updated on trends in financial services, distribution channels, and ethical investing

Many fintechs provide investment opportunities for users, giving them control to invest in stocks, cryptocurrencies, and options that can inherently be high-risk. Many of these apps are thus not designed to encourage smart investing, and those who earn profits from their investments often receive money from non-Halal sources.
Wahed provides an ethical and Halal investment platform, allowing users to invest smartly across diversified portfolios without lock-in periods, hidden fees, or one-size-fits-all investment strategies. The platform includes a variety of robo-investment tools to personalise smart investment strategies to the user's financial goals, ensuring that all returns come from Halal financial sources.
Whilst it is inevitable that Wahed will face great competition from many investment platforms, the company has found a gap in the market by focussing on a Muslim audience, recognising that many do not invest due to earnings being non-halal. The company is well-funded and has been steadily expanding, launching new features along the way such as its dedicated Waqf (Islamic endowment) feature to help tackle the cost of living crisis.
