Who you are
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent practical experience in software development will also be considered
- Experience: 6+ years in software development, with proficiency in Go, Java, or C++. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS is essential

What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our team in Austin, Texas. You will help revolutionize the healthcare industry and work with cutting-edge technologies like Golang, GraphQL, AWS Lambda, and Serverless to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software solutions
- Innovate & Collaborate: Partner with Agile teams to create and refine high-quality software that drives our healthcare and payment systems
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Lead the adoption of new technologies, engage with tech communities, and mentor other engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Ensure Reliability: Utilize your deep expertise in languages like Go, C++, or Java, and your knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, to ensure our systems are reliable and scalable
- Leverage Cloud Tech: Work with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud-based tools to deliver efficient, high-performing solutions

Nomi Health wants to rebuild, not renovate, the system. It aims to reduce costs and efforts by removing layers from the traditional healthcare system; connecting patients directly with providers so there's no need to go through third-party health insurance. Its success so far comes down to its offering of a smarter option when compared to large dominant companies, that are riddled with operational and technological inefficiencies.
Nomi Health's acquisition of two related companies, Everyone Health and Sano Surgery, will be used to expand its direct healthcare purchasing business as well as where and how many people Nomi directly cares for. This, atop the launch of its Connect fintech platform to power real-time healthcare payments, should see the number of patients and providers Nomi is responsible for continue to increase as time goes on.
